Remember this post that I wrote a while ago?

Well, guess what I found in this week's episode of Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri?

"The Castle" returns! If they use it for Ohno's drama, too, I will laugh so hard.

I quickly sped through this week's episode (raw) and I just wanted to say...OMG, I want to know what's going to happen!!!!! I want it to be next week already. I also cannot wait for subs, but it'll only make me yearn for the finale even more. I love Kageyama.

I feel like I've been on hiatus without meaning to. It's been kinda hectic this month. I've gone on 4 interviews so far and I have another one tomorrow. And right now, I'm really stressed because I haven't had any more interview offers come in. At this point, I'm really afraid that I won't match for a residency for next year.

But on to more happier, fangirly things. )

You know you've watched too many dramas when the same building starts popping up everywhere. It's like they have simply run out of places to film.

This castle is freakin' everywhere. It is Japan's default drama building.

This is a screenshot from Yukan Club.

And here it is in the fall, as seen in Atashinchi no Danshi.

Again in winter for Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge.

Oooooh, here it is at night in 0 Goushitsu no Kyaku.

Last but not least, here it is in Kaibutsuland, a whole other dimension!

This castle gets around.

We practiced how to do eye exams on each other in class today. That meant that we all had to get one eye dilated. Surprisingly, in my numerous visits to the optometrist, I've never had my eyes dilated before. It's a weird feeling, especially since we numbed our eyes beforehand so the dilating solution wouldn't sting. But we did get to use the slit lamp machine, which was pretty spiffy. And I was given an excuse not to study 'cause my depth perception was completely out of wack for about 6 hours or so.

Sooooooooooooo, I watched the season premier of Grey's Anatomy instead! Two hours of drama, drama, drama. As a medical show, I still like House so much better. I despise soap operas so Grey's sometimes hit a nerve. And with so many of the original characters gone or changed beyond recognition (character-wise), it feels like a completely different show from the one I got sucked into. I seriously only watch now for Christina Yang 'cause I love snarky and bitchy characters. And to see if Izzie will die or not. The premise for the next few episodes seem interesting enough to keep me watching for now. But if they bring back Denny again, I may have to kill someone.

So I'm finally getting around to finishing Stand Up!, which I started watching about half a year ago or so. I'm on episode 10 and I had to stop at this:

Obviously, it's not a real tattoo. You can even see some of the smear marks from whatever sort of pen/marker/ink they used.

Now, [livejournal.com profile] thefeifei and I once did a replica of that tattoo on a friend's back using Sharpies, Crayola markers and other office pens. And I think the result was better than the one they did for Stand Up!. What do you think?

For those who don't know, this is what the real tattoo's supposed to look like (from Red Dragon).

Random post, I know.

I swear I've been keeping up with everyone's LJs but I've just been too lazy or busy to comment. I'm a horrible LJ friend.

1 week into my summer and I'm still not quite sure what it's gonna look like in the long run. I have a meeting with a professor in an hour to talk about a possible summer project (but I'm volunteering for it so I won't be paid). My free clinic schedules are set and they're kinda just scattered throughout the summer. I haven't contacted the doctor I'll be shadowing 'cause I don't know what my schedule is like yet. I have no idea what the Habitat thing will be like for the summer. And there's my Alaskan vacation, the IMSA reunion weekend and a wedding to attend in August. I need to do my club and committee duties, as well. Even with all this going on, I still feel like a bum compared to all my friends that are doing research.

On another note, The Quiz Show is getting sooooooooooooooo good! Sho-chan is so great in this role. Honma needs to be sedated. I totally didn't expect the new twist in episode 8. Can't wait for the next episode!

Anyone know where I can download the recent AnS episode with Kobayashi Mao and Shinichi Hatori? And are there links to the latest AnS episode yet? I always seem to miss stuff when I'm not constantly checking LJ.

My Internet was all wonky yesterday (and today), going off and on randomly, every 10 minutes or so. And it was annoying 'cause my computer would still get signal from the router but the connection would still be non-existent.

Do you know how frustrating it is to have spotty Internet while you're trying to download Smile, VS Arashi and the latest The Quiz Show. Very frustrating. Also, who knows where to download the latest Himitsu no Arashi-chan? I've been trying to be patient and wait for someone to upload it in one of the numerous Arashi communities I've joined, but nope, no one has. I wanna see the conclusion of the Mario battle. I hear I'm in for a surprise.

Also, I called it for Smile and The Quiz Show. Particularly the Kamiyama-Honma-Misaki triangle. Can't wait for the next ep!

I noticed this immediately during the show and I WANT THIS WATCH!

The hands go backwards! How awesome (and slightly confusing) is that?!?!
