Once again, I'm writing down what happened during the weekend 'cause I feel like being organized like that.
So, Friday night was the hypnotist. I got back to my room early and wanted to take a nap but I never did. When I was just about to head for my bed, Feifei called me and said she was bored. I suggested watching "The Calcium Kid" so I headed over to Hendrick with the DVD. We watched some of it before Paul called my cell and said that I was late for the J-Net Fashion Show practice. Oops. So Feifei and I went and my group basically did nothing, but that was to be expected. I sneaked out early to get to the hypnotist with Feifei.
Technically, non-Forbes residents couldn't attend, but since there were so few people and the R.A.s didn't really care, Feifei was allowed in. Gotta say that Jim Wand is just as funny as always. My roommate Kathryn went up and got hypnotized. She was so cute! She say "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and flexed her muscles in the Mr. Universe contest. And there was this one really slow guy up there that did everything as if he was drugged or something. It was fun and my roomie won our team 125 points. Go Kathryn! I think I'm gonna try to catch his next show at IMSA.
After the hypnotist, we went to Late Night at ISR and got loads of food 'cause we both felt really hungry. Then we went back to Hendrick, finished "The Calcium Kid" (great movie) and then I went back to Forbes. I think I feel asleep around 2:00 in the morning.
Feifei woke me up Saturday morning around 10:30. She was bored and we had planned to go to the mall later that day. I got up around 11:15, got dressed and all that jazz, and headed over to ISR to meet Feifei. I had my first weekend meal in a residential cafeteria. It wasn't great but it was food. I also had some ice cream and watched Feifei mix interesting things together. Note: Feifei does not like coffee. After brunch, we took a bus, after a length debate with Feifei's friend over the phone, to the mall.
I didn't really feel like buying anything, but shopping is just fun. I saw a salon on the way in and was really tempted to get my hair highlighted right there and then, but I really do want Asian people who know how to work with Asian hair to do my hair. Me and Fei-chan headed to a dollar store and she bought Harry Potter fanart stickers and a RPG games that came on a FLOPPY! Very interesting. We also got distracted by numerous shoes stores and tried on numerous prom/homecoming dresses. I tried on this gorgeous red dress and it looks really good on me. Really expensive, though. And Feifei found out that she can pull off strapless dresses.
Oh, and I've increased my CLAMP manga collection. I got two more volumes of Angelic Layer. Feifei got volume 2 and 3 of D.N.Angel. It was funny 'cause Feifei was saying how she's a recovering addict and that the wall of manga was doing nothing to her. Then she stopped midsentence and went, "Ooooooo, D.N.Angel!" Everything she just said went right out the window and that moment. Since I had a Waldenbooks card that expires in November, I figured I should take advantage of it while I still can. And there was a "buy 3 get the 4th free" deal thingy happening, so yeah, we got manga.
We got back on campus after like 5 hours of shopping. I was exhausted and hungry. Feifei came back to Forbes with me and I sorta fed her with all the junk food in my room. We tried to get the RPG game to work but it failed miserably. I watched some "Law & Order: SVU" followed by "The Apprentice" and "Trading Spaces". More eating followed. And then more TV-watching. Feifei fell asleep on my bed so she just spent the night. I think I feel asleep around 2:00 in the morning again.
Feifei wakes up too early on the weekends. That's why she's bored so often. She woke up at like 10:00. Since I was so dead at the time, I just gave her free reign of my laptop and Internet. She didn't seem to mind. She headed back to Hendrick around 2:00 in the afternoon and I got to work on my paper. I worked on and off on that paper till Feifei called me about dinner. Naturally, we went to the nice little Korean restaurant. We waited like 30 mins for our food and the dish I ordered this time wasn't as great as the other dishes I've ordered. Oh well, you live, you learn.
After dinner, Paul, Feifei and I went to Paul's room to do work. I wrote a little more on my paper while participating in the *Nsync party with Sam and Ning. I finished the paper and the party in my room 'cause Paul's scary roommate doesn't like people being in the room late. He's a scary, scary person... After me and Ning finished the third soundtrack, I went to sleep. *yawn* My weekends are becoming less and less exciting. Still fun, but less exciting.
