I downloaded 1 episode of DD-Boys on a whim and found it pretty interesting. So afterwards, I downloaded all 6 volumes of DD-Boys. I only really watched the ones that had the Tenimyu boys and Channaka (Nakamura Yuichi). Some of them are quite hilarious and I'm gonna list off some of my favorites, in separate posts.
As far as I can tell, Yuyan, Yanagi, Shirotan, Maa-kun and Yuichi (I'm using the nicknames that they introduced in the episodes) and the other D-Boys live/hang out in the D-House. For some reason, they need to raise 2 million yen or else they'll lose the D-House (I believe). The DVDs show the D-Boys members doing various things to earn money. More and more D-Boys are introduced as characters in later episodes.
Ep. 1:
Wada is chosen to run 108km (don't ask me why) and Yuya and Shirota tag along in a van to offer support. The funniest parts are actually Yuya and Shirota doing various things in the van. Sometimes they're yelling out at Wada, either supporting him or teasing him. Other times they're sleeping, watching a DVD or playing Brain Age on Nintendo DS.
It's nice to know that the Japanese have problems with the speaking part of Brain Age as well. For the US version, you gotta say the name of the color that shows up on the screen and after much failure at the word "blue", my friends and I realized that since it was made by Japanese people, maybe we should try saying it was an accent. So we tried saying "brue" and it totally worked. Apparently the Japanese have a bug in their problem that may be due to pitch of voice. Yuya was speaking into it over and over again, and could only get it to register when his voice when falsetto. It was so funny. Oh, and Yuya's brain age is 82 years old.
At one point, they stopped to let Wada take a break and they all went to a karaoke place. Shirota and Yuya were singing at the top of their lungs and Wada looked like he passed out.
Ep. 2:
Continuation of ep. 1. Wada runs some more. They all stop at a hotel/motel for the night so Wada can rest.

Funniest part? Shirota and Yuya are watching what sounded like porn/hentai. And they have the blankest face on them like they're just watching a commercial. So funny.
Towards the end, Shirota and Yuya runs along with Wada. Wada eventually makes the 108 km and he didn't die. Yay, Maa-kun! At the very end, Zukki was introduced as a character.
Ep. 3:
Shirota loves to sing. A lot. So the producers had him go to a sakura blossom festival and earn money by singing songs while playing his guitar. They asked him how much he thinks he can make and at first, he said 10,000 yen. Everyone said that it was too little so he changed it to 50,500 yen. That was his goal. In the end, after hours of singing (and some of his own songs, too) himself hoarse, he made a little more than 55,000 yen. For a little while, he stopped to hang out with some teenage girls and he even played strip Janken with one of them. He seemed to be winning.
Oh, and Araki was introduced as a character this episode.
Ep. 4:
Seto Koji was introduced at the beginning as a friend of Araki's. The assignment was for Zukki, Yuya, Channaka, Setomaru and Araki to go to various restaurant places and accepting their challenges to earn money.
First was Channaka and he had to finish this huge glass of shaved ice in 10 minutes. He could only get through half of it in the alloted time and he got a major brain freeze in the process.

Second was Setomaru and he had to finish a ginormous bowl of steaming hot ramen in 40 minutes to earn 10,000 yen. In the end, Setomaru earned no money and got to sit in the van with a bucket on his lap.

Yuya went third and he had to eat something (I have no idea what it is; just look at the pic) in 7 mins and 57 secs to get 30,000 yen. He almost threw up at the end after forcing all that food into him. He also got a bucket in the van.

Araki got steak and he had to finish it in 30 mins for 10,000 yen. He finished what they gave him in 10 mins and he was so proud. They were chanting "10,000 yen! 10,000 yen!" until the waiter brought out another plate of steak. Apparently the challenge is to finish 3 plates in 30 minutes. He made it partially through the second plate and could eat no more. Yeah, he got a bucket, too.

Last, but not least, there's Zukki. He got to eat 100 small bowls of noodles (I have no idea what it's called but I saw it once in Food Fight). It was really funny 'cause everyone counted down as he ate them and once it got to 100, the person that was refilling his bowl filled it up again. Everyone around him was shouting, "One! One!", starting the count again. Zukki looks around, chews, drinks a bit of water, swallows and goes, "Eh?" with the cutest, most confused look. Hilarious.

In the end, he couldn't get any money unless he finished 200 bowls. Zukki decided to try and he made it to 181 before he had to stop and throw up. He was so close.

Special:
Some cut scenes from the episodes. I liked the one of Yuichi on the side of the street waiting for Wada to run past. He even wore a running outfit under his normal clothes. When they see each other, Yuichi runs up to Wada yelling "Maa-kun!" and Wada runs up to Yuichi yelling "Channaka!" So cute.
