I went to a Weird Al concert tonight and it was awesome!!! It was a concert and a comedy show at the same time. The songs were hilarious and the video interludes were brilliant. When he sang "A Saga Begins" (the song about Star Wars Episode I), everyone on stage changed into Star Wars costumes. The guitarist, bassist, drummer and Weird Al were in Jedi garb, while the keyboardist was dressed as the Emperor. There were 6 Stormtrooper background dancers and a Darth Vader. Brilliant. The dancing Stormtroopers totally made my day. He ended with an extended performance of "Albuquerque". I'm still slightly deaf and blind from the whole thing. If anyone plans on attending a Weird Al concert in the future, I suggest bringing ear plugs and sunglasses. And be prepared to laugh a LOT!
