I actually did shit this weekend, like a normal college student. I feel so proud.
Actually, it's not terribly exciting but it was lots of fun. I saw Ning on TV on Friday so that was cool. The debate was good and all that.
Saturday was the big day! I went to the Union at 3:30 to get my hair and make-up done for the fashion show. That took a while but only because me and Denise are incompetent when it comes to hair and make-up. Lulu had to do both of ours and she was an absolute hair and make-up guru. She went to Walgreens before the Union and bought some red hair gel thingy that temporarily dyes your hair. It looked really awesome on us. She actually got Denise's hair to go up and my hair to stay put. Amazing. Then she took out some Halloween face paint thingy and did some really cool eye work. I'm at awe at some people's skills.
Dressing went about the same pace as last time. I made sure that this time everything wasn't tied so tight around my ribs and such. In the end, my ribs didn't hurt but my back ached like a bitch. I traded one pain for another, I suppose. I can't escape it...but I looked damn good in that kimono. So did everyone else. Eri's kimono for herself and Lulu were absolutely gorgeous. Gorgeous, I tell you. Sean and Gong looked good in their black stuff; very assassin-like. All in all, we made a damn good-looking group. Oh, and shuffling around in a kimono and flip flops is fun! I can go at crazy speeds. ^_^
The fashion show went off with only one small mistake. During one of the yukata groups, the person in charge of music played the wrong song. It was funny watching all this from back stage 'cause Kat was running going "Oh no, oh no, oh no" and one of the group members was going "Oh shit, wrong song, oh shit, wrong song!" Very amusing. Other than that, it was perfect. The jinbei group did their fancy dance move, the kids were adorable and we didn't mess up!
After the show, the mingling and picture-taking and getting undressed, me and Denise went back to the 6-pack to drop off our stuff. Then we took a bus and met Paul and large group of the fashion show people at EVO, where they have wonderful bubble tea. Mmmm...bubble tea. After that, me, Denise, Paul, Zai and Eri took Eri's car to go to Sean's house for the after party. It was loads of fun. We started with a bit of DDR and followed with some karaoke game. There was this one guy who sang "Complicated" and sang it really badly, but it was hilarious. I sang "Toxic" and actually didn't do so bad. ^_^ That was before I bought a drink. I got a screwdriver after I finished my song. Later on, I sang "Save Tonight" but I didn't know that song too well. There were more video-gaming/drinking going on. We even played mafia at one point. It was just loads of fun to unwind after a few weeks of hard work. J-Net people are fun. I'm so glad I did this. I eventually left at 3:30 with Denise and Paul, went back to my room to work for an hour, took a quick shower to wash off the red gel and went to sleep at 5:00.
Sunday was filled with work and a little bit of food. Went to Subway instead of the Korean restaurant. After that, I worked on my lab report for the rest of the evening. The Spice Girls party was shorter than the other ones 'cause they're albums were shorter.
I hate chemistry lab. Grrrr...
