I am about ready to fucking cut my wrists
I've wasted about an entire day trying to fix my computer because of a stupid virus I got last night.

It popped up around 2 AM last night when the virus scan told me it detected at Vundo Trojan but couldn't remove it. Then, immediately, the virus started working by popping up random advertisement sites every minute or so.

Because these pop-ups kept freezing up my already slow computer, it took me FOREVER to go online and find how to remove it. Then, it took me several more restarts to download VundoFix. The scan took like 30 minutes and resulted in the program not finding anything. Well, I know that's bullshit 'cause the pop-ups were still going. So I downloaded Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and used that.

The scan worked and it removed all the Vundo Trojans it found. I went to sleep thinking that my computer was fine and dandy again. Only, I woke up this morning to find that my WMP no longer plays any of my video files. I kept getting the error message "The source filter for this file could not be found."

So now I had a different problem to solve. I searched the web again for solutions and tried every one of them. I downloaded new things, deleted old things, installed and then uninstalled a lot of crap. This caused another 20 or so restarts. Nothing worked so I did system restore to see if I could get the WMP function back.

It did. It also brought back the Vundo Trojan. So I scanned with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware again and removed the Trojan. Which brought back the WMP problem.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I freakin' give up.

[EDIT] I may, may, have solved the problem. I had to run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware about 8 times, each time selectively removing certain files and then testing WMP to see if it still worked. In the end, I removed everything that the scans found, WMP still plays videos and it's been at least 10 minutes and there's been no new pop-ups. I hope everything's still fine after I restart my computer...
