Expensive things and Anita do not mix
I'm incredibly tempted to buy this 'cause I wanna cosplay PoT for the next convention I'm going to, which'll probably be ACen 2007. I think the medium would fit me almost perfectly. And now that I have shorter hair, it'll be so much easier to cosplay them. I especially have Oshitari-like hair. I have glasses and several tennis rackets. All I would need is temporary blue dye, probably the spray on kind, and boom, I'm Oshitari. Such a simple cosplay. I can also do Shishido, Jiroh and possibly Atobe. But $85?!?!?! They're gouging people on shipping. Wonder if I can just tell them that my parents will freakin' pick up the costume in Shanghai and they don't need to mail the damn thing. Damn my inability to design and sew costumes. Maybe I'll wait to around Christmas time to treat myself; I've probably treated myself enough for my birthday. >.< I blame Kazuki for all this.

I have the Hyoutei uniform (because I cosplayed Shishido~) and it's love. But for some reason, that one came a size larger than I ordered. Same happened with a friend. So, either... prepare to have the sides taken in on the jacket and polo, or order a size smaller (though... if they don't make them big anymore...)

I also have a Fudoumine set from them, and I love that one even more than the Hyoutei one xD I seriously wear my Fudo jacket EVERYWHERE, so if you ever see someone walking around campustown wearing a Fudo jacket, it's probably me ^^;

And I'm ordering a St. Rudolph set... next weekend. Wee.

Anyways, with the ones I have, they're all great quality. In a way, it's worth the money. The fabric is good, quality fabric, so... I figure, if I was to make it myself, I'd be spending something pretty similar to what they're charging. For comparison, on costumes that I made myself (not including wigs and accessories)... I spend roughly $75 on Kurapica from HxH, $150 on Sai from Hikaru no Go, $225 on Chrno from Chrno Crusade, and $50 on Sasuke from Naruto. So, for me, when I think of it that way... spending $85-$100 on an already-made cosplay set (which saves me the trouble of having to figure it all out myself...) isn't too bad ^^

Thanks for the infor; I'll keep that in mind. I've heard good things about QQCosplay and their products so I'm not worried about the quality. I just wish they wouldn't charge so much on shipping, but if they are shipping from China, I guess it's expected. The size issue you had, however, makes me worry a bit.

If I ever do seriously want to cosplay PoT characters, I'm pretty sure I'll be buying it. I'm lazy and don't have time to sew up costumes, especially if I can just order one that's probably better than anything I can make.

I'll be on the lookout of someone wearing a Fudo jacket now when I'm wandering around campus. ^_^

It doesn't look that fancy - which probably means that you can lazily cosplay it.

I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to artistic things. To make it, I would have to find the right fabric for shirt, jacket, shorts and pants. Since the shirt and jacket fabrics would be different but the colors have to match, I may never find a match. I could lazily cosplay it...but then I'd feel kinda off.

So i had a lot of fun looking at random costumes from anime series i use to watch.

Maybe it's my brokeness talking, but is it really worth it to spend $85 on something that you'll prolly only wear once?

That's why I didn't want to order the Seigaku set. However, I could arguably play tennis in the Hyotei set. No words or lettering, nice basic colors, simple design. The pants have pockets. Pockets! Yeah, I could definitely play tennis in it. So I'm paying $85 for a costume set and tennis workout clothes. And I can so wear it more than once, even at the same convention.
