I have survived!
I just finished my first week of classes at medical school!!!!! *claps for myself*

And I've learned quite a few things:

- When they say it's a "pass/fail" system, it's really a lie. Our system goes honors/high pass/pass/low pass/fail, but if you squint hard enough, you'll see that it's really just A/B/C/D/F.

- Anatomy lecture is boring but anatomy lab is freakin' awesome! And each donor has something unique about them that makes it so exciting.

- I can never run away from the Central Dogma.

- A "quiz" is really an exam.

- Asians really gravitate toward each other.

- The awesomest protein synthesis video in the world was made in the 60's.

If you find the beginning boring, skip to about 3:10 seconds in. The real fun begins there.

So, I really should study for my "quiz" on Monday, but I'm so tired. I'm still not used to the 8:30-5:00 days. *yawns* Goodnight.

You know, being married to Arina kind of allows me to gravitate a bit and infiltrate that vast underworld of a billion people with only two degrees of separation. It's nice to have that entering a new community with zero1 friends from before.

The video was ... interesting? I'm not that well read, but were there any other literary references than Jabberwocky by the breathy voiced narrator?

1There is a person from UIUC that I know, but he's in astronomy, not physics.
