Oh, how I miss D&D

I am a d20

Take the quiz at dicepool.com

You are the large, round, friendly d20! (You probably didn't know this, but the shape of the twenty-sided die is called an Icosahedron.) You are the friendly, outgoing, outspoken, leader of friends. You are often looked up to, even though you don't normally deserve it. Most other types secretly wish they were you, and you'd give them tips on how, if only you had a clue yourself. Your charisma is often all you need, but you have your occasional moments of brilliance as well--just never when it's actually needed. You are the all-around good guy, a dependable chum, a respectable foe, and an inspiration to those who need one. Who says you can't get by on a smile and good looks alone?

I'm a d20, too, but... no offense, because you're hot and a leader of men and all that, but I don't think that's very accurate for either of us... Stupid quizzes.

No offense? The description says d20s don't normally deserve to be looked up to. I'd rather be worthy than be thought worthy ...

Incidentally, I'm a d6. Remember kids, Slow and Steady wins the race--if you're up against Swift and Sleepy. Otherwise, you're fucked.

But wouldn't it suck to know that you deserved to be thought well of without anyone actually thinking well of you? Maybe I'm just a completely dependent person (actually, there's no 'maybe' about that), but it reminds me of a quote from Jane Eyre with which I identify...

"If others did not love me I'd rather die than live - I could not bear to be solitary and hated."

Both ways suck.

In principle, my choice would be to deserve praise and not receive it rather than receive praise that I do not deserve. In principle, what matters more to me is what I do for others, not what they do for me (such as praise me). Naturally, my mileage may vary in real life: I don't live in Principle, I live in Colorado.
