I had a nervous breakdown on the fucking first day of school! Let me explain it further 'cause it's not just me being unstable.
You know how there are usually people there to help you choose your classes? Well, I had a person but since my schedule was so difficult to deal with, I ran overtime and she had to go help someone else. So I'm just sitting there trying to find a class that I liked and would fit, but nope, nothing seemed to work. The helper next to me noticed that I wanted to get into the Asian Mythology class so he suggested that if I dropped my Rhet 108 and add Rhet 105 at a different time, I could fit in the Asian Myth class. I did so and was happy with my schedule. And I left it at that.
Well, about a month later, I realized that my Rhet 105 class was only for engineering majors. Now, I'm a biochem major so my first reaction was "Fuck!". So, not good. Finally, the night before I had to move in, I change into a Rhet 108 class at 8 in the morning. Not what I would've preferred but I was no longer screwed.
Not so. It turned out that Chem 202 is just the lecture and discussion, and does not include the lab. I had to register for Chem 203 separately, which I did not do 'cause nobody thought to mention it to me. Fuck, again. So I immediately tried to add in Chem 203 but it wouldn't fit in anywhere. The only times that Chem 203 meets is either at 8 in the morning or 1 in the afternoon. I have Rhet at 8 and MCB 150 at 1, neither of which I could have really moved.
Somehow, by some sort of miracle or genius on my part, I figured out how to fit everything in. I had to drop my Asian Myth and MCB lecture and discussion classes to add Chem 203, and then re-register MCB 150. Well, all the MCB 150 discussion sections that could possibly fit into my schedule were full. Shit, not fuck, 'cause I still had some hope that people will drop.
The shit got promoted to a fuck later on, though. I only had 11 credit hours which means I was not considered a full-time student. Then, the lecture filled up completely so I couldn't register for it anymore. Fuck, majorly. I literally cried in frustration and stress around that point. Luckily, a spot opened up later on and I jumped on it. I attacked it. Grabbed it in a death grip. I was so relieved, you have no idea. Now I'm not gonna touch my schedule again.
Whoever came up with the times for all the classes should be shot.
