There's nothing to do!
I have done absolutely NOTHING today. My enzyme assay needs to run through MS to see if the metabolite is under the parent peak or if it's not there at all. Unfortunately, there's one MS machine here and EVERYONE wants to use. Interns come last in this long line for the machine. The other intern here is also running into troubles with her protocol. She's had to run the same assay like 5 times already, using different ways to bubble CO2 into her samples, but she keeps getting nothing. Still, at least she had something to keep her occupied for the day. So I've been sitting here since 8:00 in the morning, surfing the web and doing Sudoku. Every now and then I get up to help the other intern out of sheer boredom and want for company (and to not look like a lazy bum).

My source of Internet (stolen) has security-locked their wireless. T_T I hope they unlock it sometime in the future. I have things I want to download.

Lori's making me Kato Kazuki LJ icons! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I wouldn't recommend downloading things from work. They probably have people watching that Internet. And any semi-serious drain on it, they would frown upon.

I think she means the wireless she's been stealing at home. Sucks to hear, btw.

As for work...when I first read this, I read it as "essay" and took "MS" to mean Microsoft Word. So, I'm reading it and wondering why such a huge company as that one would only have one machine (which I took to be a computer, in classic geek lingo) which had MS Word for processing an essay. Wasn't until halfway through it that I realized it was "assay" and began to work backwards. One letter made all the difference...
